A lot of video editors and directors talk about how they love telling stories, but I believe there's a lot more to it. There's a level of craftsmanship, exhausting nights, and tedious google docs full of hard drive management. Making a truly great video, in this day and age, is more than just storytelling; it's about being able to shoot, edit, audio design, color correct, and work with really great people, and sometimes work with really terrible people. But at the end of the day, there's nothing better than pushing back in your chair and watching an edit for the 9 millionth time, and thinking "I wouldn't change a thing."
